is there possibility to use a different font than the ones that displays? I wanted to try new fonts designed for programming but even if I install it in my pc I don't see it in the font selection window.

as far as I recover, the font selector only shows fonts that contains "fixed width" / "mono space" characters sets. This is due to a limitation in the editor component. If I would change it to "proportional" character set, each character in the text needs to be stretched or shrunk to fit into one character field. That would dramatically slow down the editor speed and the result will look very bad. Think about the characters "W" and "i" which would be streched or shrunk to fit. A “W” would look unusually small, while an “i” would look unnaturally large.
