Hello Andrew,
in K-IDE it is very easy. Got to the list of Trans values, select the variable and press "delete". But keep in mind that the variable still exists in the robot. To delete it there, you need to select the following menu entry: "Connection/Online toolbox/Delete unused variables and programs online".
