Dear all,
I'm using since 2years K-IDE and I have these suggestions (some are old, I already reported):
- Check serial number of controller when K-IDE instaurates connection. There is a risk to download into the controller the wrong AS file and download the wrong information (ex: program). Is enoughta message that warn about that the serial saved into AS file is different from controller serial.

- Add into the command list all commands about soft absorb. At the moment they are not recognized and the color remains different

- Add more keyboard shortcut. I already reported that CTRL+F open search window, but this search is limited at current task. Normally we (me, my customer and coworker) must search into complete project. There is a window to do that, but is possible add a shortcut for it?

- Programs alfabethic sort

- Add a window with current program status. In the past you reject my idea about add a cursor that show the current line of a task (because the time to refresh is very high >1sec). So at the moment we use the monitor to type command status. An idea is add a window (or similar) that when is active the source code inspection shows also the current step. Doens't matter if its refresh time is high, but is very useful when the robot is a waiting condition and is necessary understand what is missing in the condition

- disable the automatic suggestion when the programmer typing a comment

thank you for your ideas!

  1. Checking serno: Still included.
  2. Add "your own" commands to be highlighted: Please refer to "Syntax settings".
  3. Keyboard shortcuts / Global search: Still included. See -> here <-.
  4. Alphabetic program sort: What is the use case? Alphabetic sort order means destroying the developers sort order and program groups.
  5. Program step / motion step: Can be done using "Command with return value" in "Inspection list". See below.
  6. Disable/Enable auto completion: Possible, but why?

For every feature we would like to add, we need to consider if it makes sense or not. If it is a feature that helps a lot for all robot developers, we need to check if it is possible to include with our resources (developing time). If the feature is for very rare use and complicated to be included, it will likely not be developed on our side.
